New year ride

There was a hope that at least somewhere up there is some sun in 2010. But that was not the case – at least not at the places I have visited during my ride today. But even in Sternenberg there was just fog. Anyway – it was nice trip!

Functional Programming Training Camp

After a long day at the Eclipse Summit Europe with a key note on the functional programming language F# (running on .Net) I decided to go to a training on Scala (runing on a JVM). I even found a training camp very near to the Forum at the Schlosspark where the ESE takes place.

Trains - meeting of generations

Today various generations of trains have met in Bauma. Here is a replica of the first train running in Switzerland, the "Spanische Brötlibahn".


Aside many others also one of the famous Crocodiles came along.
